The clubs of the area range from a busy tournament room to a single school team. In Gdańsk, Klub Szachowy Król i Królowa in Wrzeszcz plays rated blitz, rapid and norm tournaments and runs camps, UKS Korona trains children with weekend sessions and its own Grand Prix, and UKS Gedanensis organises training and festival events. The 5th Liceum on ul. Polanki has an open championship and a blitz championship of its own.

Gdynia’s clubs are tied to its institutions: the chess section of the Navy Club, WKS Flota with its young players, TKKF Rzemyk in Redłowo and the school sports club of the Youth Culture Centre. Around them, Klub Szachowy Sg1 in Wejherowo, KSz Biało-Czarni in Bolszewo and SZACH MAT K.S. in Kosakowo hold tournaments, the Salesian association SALOS in Rumia has a chess section at its oratory, and the 2nd Liceum in Sopot fields a school team.
