Chess in Bolszewo 7

Bolszewo is a village of the rural Wejherowo commune, right next to the town of Wejherowo, and its chess turns around one club. KSz Biało-Czarni Bolszewo, a licensed member of the Polish Chess Federation, plays a spring tournament in six rating groups and an autumn tournament, and its name stands on the rapid championships of the commune, with open and junior groups. Each December the village also holds a St Nicholas tournament in two rating groups.

Most of these events are played in the hall of Primary School No. 1 on ul. Szkolna, while the autumn tournament moves to the 1st Liceum in neighbouring Wejherowo, and the Pomeranian junior rapid championships have come to Bolszewo as well. The tournaments split the field by rating, so newcomers and experienced players each meet opponents of a similar level.
