Blitz tournaments from Gdynia to Kowale 9

Blitz in the Tricity has two steady homes. The Navy Club in Gdynia, on ul. Zawiszy Czarnego, has played a numbered series of blitz tournaments since the end of 2024, and the Król i Królowa club in Gdańsk-Wrzeszcz holds FIDE-rated blitz in its room on ul. Politechniczna. Both series appear on the rated-tournament lists, with a date for every edition.

Larger events add blitz days to their programme: the Solidarity Cup in the Shipyard BHP Hall, the University of Gdańsk summer festival, the aleGramy festival at AmberExpo and the commune festival in Kowale. North of Gdynia, the Sg1 club of Wejherowo calls one of its tournaments Desperado Blitz, the Wejherowo commune adds a blitz championship to its rapid one in Bolszewo, and the Żukowo commune championships in Banino include blitz rounds as well.
